EXPLORING SEX-GENDER, SEXUALITY, AND THE MYSTERIES OF CONSCIOUSNESS
I am an artist-shaman, which for me means dedication to therapeutic treatments, well-being services, and artistic creation.
On this site, I primarily showcase my artistic work. The website for my well-being business can be found at: Jazmine.fi.
As an artist, I have mainly explored themes of sex/gender and sexuality through my project On The Battlefield Between Sexes
I am currently working on the A Day as a Woman project, which invites individuals identifying as heterosexual men to explore their feminine side. I present some of my projects on the Visual Artist page of this portfolio.
I also work as a professional photographer and, as an art consultant, produce artistic pieces for interior and architectural projects. Additionally, I facilitate artistic exercises designed to support well-being and creativity.
REDEFINING SEX, GENDER AND SEXUALITY
As an artist, I have primarily focused on the subjects of sex-gender and sexuality.
Through my project "On The Battlefield Between Sexes," I have sought a way to define gender that would reconcile the conflicting views of natural science and social science gender studies. My goal is also to demonstrate that gender-unequal laws can be challenged with scientific arguments.
The accompanying image is from the work "100 and One Sex-Gender Variations," where participants define their own experience of femininity and masculinity playfully on a 0–100 scale. I wanted to show how few people define themselves as 100% female or male.

In my collaborative artwork, "100 and One Genders," (2017) participants defined their experience of femininity and masculinity on a 0–100 numerical scale.

I also want to challenge the sociological research, where sex-gender is typically divided into the social (gender) and biological (sex) components; The concept of gender was developed in the 1960s-1970s to justify genital surgeries on infants with intersex traits, even when there were no medical justifications for it.
In many languages, such as Finnish, there is only one word that encompasses both the social and biological dimensions. Therefore, I propose using the terms 'sex-gender' together in English.
Redefining sexuality.
Traditional definitions of sexuality (hetero, gay, lesbian) are not sustainable in the light of current biological knowledge, as sex is seen in biology as a spectrum rather than boxes. Therefore, I define sexuality not based on boxes but rather as a fetish—interest in, for example, masculinity, femininity, or different body parts. This allows for a more precise description of sexuality than what vague gender-box-focused expressions can define.
