On the Frontline of Genders

In my work I deal with the definition of gender through artistic means. I criticise the traditional division of gender into biological (sex) and social (gender) categories.

Gender identity is an innate characteristic and cannot be changed through upbringing. Every person is born with both female and male gender characteristics in varying degrees.

Intersexuality is normal evolutionary variation. I have sought to influence EU legislation with questions about whether states can even prescribe a citizen's gender.
